If you’d like to support conservation and climate change campaigning in Leighton Buzzard, you can become a member of our group.
Why join?
By becoming a member, you’re supporting environmental campaigning in Leighton Buzzard and the wider borough.
Our local group is run by volunteers who receive no regular funding from national Friends of the Earth. We rely largely on donations, campaign fundraising and membership fees to support our work. Costs go towards things like running event stalls, printing and production, or buying tools, seeds and shrubs to maintain and create wildlife-friendly sites.
As a member, you’ll be invited to our planning and campaign meetings and our Annual General Meeting. As well as connecting with a lovely, proactive group of like-minded people, you’ll have the opportunity to influence and contribute to our campaigns and on-site volunteering sessions.
If you’re handy with a trowel, skilled at influencing and lobbying councillors, or have creative ideas for campaigns, we’d love for you to join us. Membership is really flexible, and you can be involved as much or as little as you like. You can even just come along for a cup of tea during our on-site sessions.
