Interesting episode of Gardeners’ World on 9 September on making your garden wildlife-friendly. The piece included some interesting points that often get overlooked, like providing plants for caterpillars as well as food for butterflies. Also, mowing your lawn every few weeks, so it still looks like a lawn, but being that little bit longer, it has huge benefits for wildlife. And, perhaps most importantly, your garden doesn’t have to look wild to provide great benefits to wildlife. Just what we’re trying to do at the Garden of Remembrance!
