Coming to one of our work parties? Wear sturdy shoes, long trousers and work gloves. We provide tools like shears, clippers and litter pickers, plus some longer, thick gloves for thorny work. We usually stop midway for a tea and coffee break.

Work party – Riverside Walk

We’ll be working on the riverbank, the opposite side to where we normally work on Riverside walk.
We are clearing up Himalayan Balsam along the river bank. This is very urgent – if we do not clear it now it will go to seed and then next year there will be a major problem with it. We will be meeting by the playground on Vimy road which is past Aldi and Tesco just as the road curves to the left. It is the opposite side of the river to where our apple trees are.
