Talk series – Climate change action

16 November 2019

All Saints Church

We have three talks today:

Chris Brierley, Associate Professor in Climate Change, University College, London will give us an introduction to the climate crisis based on his work as a researcher.

Chris is replacing our MP, Andrew Selous, who is not able to attend because of restrictions imposed by the upcoming General Election.

Paul Brown, the former Guardian environment correspondent and author of three books on climate change, will tell us how the climate crisis is being seen and dealt with by populations and politicians.

Steven Dixon, from Central Bedfordshire Council, with responsibility for climate change and related matters, will speak about how CBC is responding to the Climate Emergency.

The talks are followed by a question and answer session, and the event is rounded off with a set of discussion groups where you can discuss anything that strikes you from the various talks.

This a joint event with Leighton Linslade Christian Ecology group, who are our partners in Leighton Linslade Low Carbon town.
